Job Description

An important element of this high standard is our quality management system and specifically our food hygiene and sanitation practices. Every staff member is responsible for adhering to these high standards and our cleaning staff are crucial in leading and modelling this.
We are seeking dedicated and experienced night cleaning staff for immediate start to take on the role of setting the bar high and maintaining the standard every shift. Duties include:
Using PPE provided, and following chemical safety instructions, the Night Cleaner will handle, mix and store chemicals to be used for cleaning.
Adhere to SGM’s safety, hygiene and sanitation rules and procedures.
Disassemble machinery as required for cleaning and reassembling.
Manual washing using sanitiser solution.
Sweeping and mopping.
Soaking, cleaning and sanitising mixer, trays and rake.
Cleaning ovens.
Dry Cleaning and Sanitising the Dicer, Grader, Belts and Bins.
Cleaning walk behind forklifts / pallet jacks.
Cleaning wash basins, replenishing hand sanitiser and paper towel dispensers.
Cleaning Offices and windows.
Locking up and setting security alarm.
Ensuring the proper disposal of sharp objects and broken glass.
Desired Skills and Experience
You must have:
Experience in a similar role
The ability to lift heavy objects, adhering to correct manual handling techniques
Prioritise your workload
Work in a team and independently
Knowledge of work, health and safety protocols
Follow direction as well as provide suggestions for improvement

Forklift Licence
76 hours per fortnight Monday-Friday. Hours are generally 8:30pm-5am, with an earlier finish on Friday night (before midnight).
Positions will be initially filled on a casual basis with the view to consider permanent placement in the future.
